Typhoon Russ, Dec. 21, 1992

Typhoon Russ hit Guam on Dec. 21, 1990, causing up to $120 million in damage.
The eye passed south of the island, with southern villages experiencing the brunt of the storm’s force.
According to a National Weather Service Report, Russ destroyed 341 houses, causing major damage to 460 homes and minor damage to 1,210 homes. Most of the island was without power and water for days, but in the south, outages lasted for more than a week. Eleven fishermen were lost at sea. An Associated Press report stated that “waves cresting as high as 24 feet caused severe flooding in southern Guam, uncovering corpses in the cemetery in the town of Inarajan.”

Typhoon Dolphin: May 15, 2015
The eye of Typhoon Dolphin passed between Guam and Rota, the first time since Pongsona that typhoon-force winds were recorded on Guam.

Typhoon Mangkhut: Sept. 10, 2018
