What to expect in COR 2: Damaging winds 24 hours away
Emergency officials will declare Condition of Readiness 2 if damaging winds are expected to arrive within 24 hours.
At this time, you should make final preparations for the storm.
You can expect long lines at gas stations and at stores. Some items will be sold out. Guam's price-gouging regulations go into effect in COR 2, so be on the lookout for items that increase in price.
Schools are likely to be closed and shelters open. Church services and community events may be canceled until the storm passes, and businesses and government offices are likely to close at this time.
As the day goes on, you can expect the weather to get worse.
You want to be off the streets and secure in either your home or a shelter before COR 1 is declared.
